She earned a BS in civil engineering from Middle East Technical University (METU) in 1999 and an MBA in business administration from the METU Department of Business Administration in 2001. She has worked in corporate banking for 15 years, including as a project finance finance manager with a 20 billion USD project finance performance. Özlem Kıldar handled the İşbank Project Finance Portfolio through the structuring, arranging, finishing, and monitoring stages, from pre-development to final operation. She managed the bank's project finance portfolio, which includes PPP agreements on infrastructure and commercial real estate, mergers and acquisitions, power generation and distribution, energy, transportation, healthcare, and infrastructure. She did this by leading a team of project finance experts. Since 2016, she has been the founder and general manager of Profinstance Project Finance Consultancy and Training Services. She has also worked as a researcher and instructor. She currently teaches Energy Finance at Sabancı University's "Energy Management Graduate Program," Infrastructure Finance at Özyeğin University's "Retail Management Graduate Program," and Project Finance at Koç University's "Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences Undergraduate Program". She was recognized by Wealth & Finance International as the Best Project Finance Consultant - MENA (MENA) and Most Inspiring Woman in Project Finance for her achievements in this field in 2018.
