Description
Between 1996 and 1998, following the completion of my undergraduate studies at the Marmara University Faculty of Business Administration, I worked with Eczacıbaşı Artema Armatür in the Finance and Budget divisions. I finished my master's degree in finance in England in 1998–1999 and was awarded an MSc in Finance by Lancaster University. I served as the department manager for IS Investment's Fixed Income Securities and International Markets departments from 2000 to 2006. IS Investment Turkish Treasury participated as a co-manager in the worldwide bond issuances of Turkish and Central Asian enterprises when I was working there, and as IS Investment, we pioneered the global sales of these products to both local and foreign investors. I was hired in December 2006 to help launch Maxis Investments, an IS Investment subsidiary based entirely in London. I had a variety of responsibilities throughout the setup phase, including installing front and back office software, hiring new employees, dealing with regulations, and making sales to specific clients. I participated in the development of the institutional investor base once the founding process was complete, working as SGMK buying/selling and Corporate Sales Assistant Manager in the FX, bond, interest, stock spot, and derivative markets. I left Maxis Investments in 2014 and began working as a Director at the Global SGMK Sales Desk, the London branch of GMP Securities Europe, a Canadian company. At the end of 2014, I moved back to Turkey. I was employed as the Corporate Finance units' Assistant General Manager. For a time now, I have offered independent consulting and training services.
