Gökhan UGAN earned his degree in economics from the Faculty of Political Sciences at Ankara University in 1990 before beginning his work there in 1991. Between 2008 and 2013, he served as the market surveillance manager at the Izmir Futures and Options Exchange, where he had previously worked between 1991 and 2008 in the stock market, market surveillance, futures market, and risk management departments of the Istanbul Stock Exchange. He is still the founding partner and managing partner of INFORCE Financial Solutions, Education and Consulting Limited Company. He earned his PhD in numerical methods department at Istanbul University Faculty of Business Administration in 2008 after completing his postgraduate studies in business administration (MSBA) at Strayer University, USA, in 1997. In addition to his work at the London School of Economics, Gökhan Ugan also serves as a trainer for several groups sponsored by academic institutions, most notably the Turkish Capital Markets Intermediary Institutions Association. Izmir University of Economics and Dokuz Eylul University Faculty of Business Administration are where UGAN teaches "Principles of Risk Management" and "Financial Derivatives" and publishes weekly financial articles for Gündem Media Group. Business Continuity Manager (CCM), International Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certification in Risk Management Assurance (CRMA), CMB Advanced, and CMB Derivative Instruments licensing documents are all held by Gökhan UGAN.
