He earned his degree in political science from Ankara University in 1984, and from 1989 to 1990 he worked as a research researcher at the London School of Economics and Political Sciences. In 2012, he earned a master's degree from Istanbul Commerce University, and in 2016, he graduated from Okan University with a doctorate in business administration.
In 1985, he began his professional career with the Turkish Development Bank. He learned how to put together project assessment reports, feasibility studies, market research, and public offers at this time. He served as a rapporteur for the Seventh 5-Year Development Plan's Financial Markets Committee. He has been employed as a senior executive overseeing corporate finance in private banks, brokerage firms, and investment firms since the beginning of 1996. He managed loans and project financing.
From 2001 until 2005, he was a lecturer at Yeditepe University. At Kultur University, he continues to teach courses on the examination of financial statements, banking, finance, and capital market, in addition to providing expert investment consulting services.
